Welcome to our online workshop “Practical Measures to fight Illegal Trade in Archaeological Cultural Property“ as part of the 7th EU CULTNET Meeting 2020!

On the occasion of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Minister of State for Culture and the Media would like to make a practical contribution to combating the illegal trade in cultural goods and present measures and projects in a workshop that are intended to support cultural and investigative authorities in this area. We are convinced that the legal framework already in place can only be effectively implemented if we also master the practical challenges that the competent authorities regularly face in their daily work.

The 7th EU CULTNET Meeting starts on 11 November 2020 at 11 am with the aforementioned online workshop. The EU CULTNET members will then continue the meeting as a restricted online conference until 12 November 2020.

The 7th EU CULTNET meeting and the workshop will be carried out with the participation of Europol, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the Cultural Foundation of the Federal States (KSL) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology (SIT).
